The Bible and the Book of Mormon

Hello My Friend,

Today I will share with you a Visual that the Seminaries and Institutes of Religion shared with us when we lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma many years ago.  I hope you enjoy this visual.

It is the best visual I have ever seen in helping us understand God’s love for us and why we need the scriptures.  The Visual shows a simple map of the world with God giving revelation to His Prophets.

Instructions for use:

1.  Make as many copies of the visual as you would like for your personal use or for others to use also.

2.  There are four (4) fold lines – fold them backwards on the lines so that the fit behind the map of the world.

3.  Cut the center strip so you have two legs folded behind the map.

When you have the visual prepared for the presentation, use the following script to explain:

1.  Ask – Does God love all of his children?  Yes.

2.  Read the scripture – Amos 3:7

3.  Heavenly Father gives us knowledge, by revelation,  through Holy Men, called Prophets.  (fold down the first leg under “Old World”).

4.  Fold down the next leg explaining that the revelations given to Holy Prophets were written anciently on scrolls.

5.  Fold down the next leg and explain that these ancient writings of  Prophets were translated into the Holy Bible (Bible means books).

6.  Fold down the last leg and explain the the purpose of the Bible is to testify that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.  In the Bible
we have two testaments – the Old Testament and the New Testament.

The Bible is the record of the God’s dealings of  His people in the Old World.  What about His people who live in the New World anciently?
Does it seem reasonable that He would give them His Word also?  Yes!

7.  Fold down the first leg.  Ancient prophets of God lived in the New World.

8.  Fold down the second leg.  The words of these Prophets was written on gold plates.

9.  A Prophet by the name of Mormon abridged the record of his people and gave them to his son whose name was Moroni.  Moroni hid the record and
delivered it to Joseph Smith Jr. who was called as a modern Prophet, who translated them into a book called:  The Book of Mormon.

10.  Fold down the last leg.  The Book of Mormon testifies that Jesus is the Christ, another witness from Ancient America.  It testifies of the truth of the
Bible and gives additional testimony of Christ.  Would it be important for you to know and read this book?  Go here to obtain a free copy:  ComeUntoChrist.org
